ALLAHABAD MUSIC CLUB

Welcome To Allahabad Music Club

Allahabad Music Club (Estd. 2012) is a Prayagraj-based non-profit organization promoting music, wellness, literature, culture & art through annual concerts, community outreach, and music education

Allahabad Music Club

On 29th of September 2012, Allahabad Music Club came into existence in the culturally rich, literarily alive, and musically vibrant city of Allahabad, now known as Prayagraj — a city once declared the capital of India and where the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers gives it the honour of being called Teerthraj Prayag.  AMC was created not only to celebrate music but also ,various  other  performing arts and  rich literature as well. It was also with the aim to nurture local talent across various art forms.

A group of musically inclined individuals — Shri Bhupendra Shukla, Shri Amitabh Garg, Adv. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Ghanshyam Misra, Shri Tarun Chaturvedi, Ms. Deepti Chaturvedi, Shri Brij Raj Tiwari, Mrs. Prabha Das and a few more, decided to form a music platform to deliver quality music shows at least once a year to the city, to nurture local musical talent, and to help people benefit from music therapy in dealing with anxiety, stress, and depression, if present in their lives. Since then, Allahabad Music Club has successfully hosted 11 annual music concerts, and in the year 2025, it is set to present its 12th annual music concert. As a ritual, AMC organizes its musical concert on the last Sunday of The Pitrapaksh, every year.

In 2018, Allahabad Music Club got itself registered with the Registrar of Societies and renewed its registration in 2023 for another five years. Over the years, AMC has expanded its reach and is now registered with the Government of India’s DARPAN portal and holds 12A, 80G, and CSR registrations.

AMC has a group of committed life members who are inducted into the club after thorough screening and approval by a majority of its executive members. These members are required to pay annual maintenance charges to support year-round activities, including monthly music teaching sessions. Under its project Sanidhya, Allahabad Music Club regularly visits orphanages, old age homes, and schools to offer health check-ups, psychological counselling, distribution of food, medicines, books, and essential utilities, along with organizing music & dialogues sessions,  and health check-up camps.

The annual music concerts organized by Allahabad Music Club hold a special place in the hearts of music lovers of the city due to their unique concepts, impressive stage presentations, and participation of celebrated artists. During its annual concerts, AMC also felicitates renowned music personalities. Allahabad Music Club has planned to organize a concert dedicated to classical music and other forms of performing arts in the future as well. It also aims to establish a Music Centre for individuals who wish to learn and pursue various performing arts not just as a hobby but also as a professional career — making it a vocational training centre for those inclined toward music.
