On 29th September 2012, Allahabad Music Club came into existence in the culturally rich, literarily alive, and musically vibrant city of Allahabad — now known as Prayagraj. This historic city, once declared the capital of India, holds spiritual significance as the confluence of the Ganga, Jamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers, earning it the revered title of Teerthraj Prayag.
A group of musically inclined individuals — Shri. Bhupendra Shukla, Shri Amitabh Garg, Adv. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Ghanshyam Misra, Shri Tarun Chaturvedi, Ms. Deepti Chaturvedi, Shri Brij Raj Tiwari, Ms. Prabha Das, and others — came together with the vision of creating a platform that would deliver high-quality music performances at least once a year. Their aim was not only to celebrate music but also to nurture local talent and harness the therapeutic power of music to help people overcome anxiety, stress, and depression.
